Welcome to
the AdoraCoon cattery

Hello, I'm Olga, one of the founders of Adora Coon. We've always been captivated by the majestic beauty of Maine Coons. Opening a cattery has been a long-held dream of ours, and now, after four years of operating, we are grateful for the wonderful experiences shared by families who have welcomed our furry friends into their homes. We cherish the messages, photos, and heartwarming stories about how these kittens have become beloved family members. We take pride in our dedication to preserving the Maine Coon breed and the care we provide to our cats. Our hope is to continue bringing joy to many more families in the future.

Our furry beginnings.

A tale of love and transformation

The story of Adora Coons begins with a touch of sadness when my beloved cat Silvester passed away after 15 cherished years together. His absence left a profound emptiness in our home, as he had been not just a pet but a beloved family member. The warmth and unconditional love he brought to our lives were deeply missed.

Recognizing my longing for furry companionship, my friends and family surprised me for my birthday with a truly special gift. Simba, with his striking white boots and majestic presence, captured my heart instantly. Seeing him reignited my lifelong dream of opening a cattery, and I knew the time was right to turn that dream into reality.

Embarking on extensive research, we sought out catteries in Ukraine and Russia, where we found Nala and Tasha, two beautiful cats who would become the first members of our growing feline family. With their arrival, our home underwent a transformation, becoming a haven filled with cat-friendly obstacles, stairs, and toys.

In 2023, we welcomed Olivia, the enchanting silver beauty from Moscow, completing our happy family of four cats. Taking care of them brings us immense pride, and we spare no effort in ensuring they receive the highest standard of care. I personally train each kitten, instilling good behavior such as proper bathroom habits, and mealtime etiquette.

Our dedicated vet ensures their health with regular check-ups and vaccinations. Our passion for the Maine Coon breed drives us to educate others about their wonderful personalities and looks, spreading happiness and unconditional love to families just as they have brought to me.

Want to know about our process?

🧶

  • It all starts with a message! Let's talk preferences, pricing, and any questions you have. We're here to get to know you better and provide answers. Reach out via email or our website to start the conversation. Priority is given to completed adoption questionnaires.

  • We truly enjoy connecting with future families and introducing them to our kittens.

Due to the high volume of inquiries and our focus on providing the best care for our kittens, visits are arranged by appointment only and typically take place after an adoption inquiry has been reviewed and a specific kitten match has been discussed.

This approach allows us to create a calm, safe environment for our kittens and to ensure that each visit is meaningful and personalized.

We are always happy to share photos, videos, and updates, and can also arrange a video call to introduce you to the kittens and help you get a sense of their personalities from the comfort of your home.

Our kittens remain with their mother and littermates until they are ready to go to their new homes at approximately 10-12 weeks of age, allowing them to develop properly and receive appropriate veterinary care.

Thank you for your understanding and for respecting our process — it helps us provide the very best start for each kitten and ensures thoughtful matches with their future families 🐾💙

  • When the time comes for your kitten to go home — typically at around 10-12 weeks of age — we will coordinate the transition with you to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience for both you and your new family member.

We will guide you through the essentials, including preparation tips, recommended supplies, and important do’s and don’ts, so you feel confident and well-prepared for your kitten’s arrival.

Each kitten leaves us well-socialized, accustomed to a home environment, and ready to begin bonding with their new family.

For more detailed information, we invite you to explore our Care Guide, where you will find helpful advice on feeding, adjustment, and ongoing care.

For families located at a distance, flight arrangements can be made directly by the new owner with their preferred airline. We are happy to assist by bringing the kitten to Toronto Pearson Airport and ensuring a smooth and safe handover for travel.

In most cases, we still recommend in-person pickup, as it allows for a more personal introduction and a calm transition for the kitten.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us provide the very best start for our kittens 🐾💙
